East Calendar September

Teaching and tutoring. Learning life skills. The opportunity to lead. Our kids have the chance to enhance their quality of life.

If you're in the 6th, 7th or 8th grade, no matter what you like, WYN has something for you! Help with homework, outdoor adventures, service projects and field trips.

Times Monday-Friday
2:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Locations Two locations serving every elementary/middle school in Watauga County:

Western Middle Grades Site
Western Watauga Community Center and Cove Creek gymnasium
For students from Bethel, Mabel, Valle Crucis, and Cove Creek

Eastern Middle Grades Site
Boone United Methodist Church
For students from Parkway, Green Valley, Hardin Park, Blowing Rock, and Two Rivers

Program Fees $20.00 per week ($4.00 per day)
$15.00 per week ($3.00 per day) for families qualifying for reduced lunch
$10.00 per week ($2.00 per day) for families qualifying for free lunch
Full scholarships available for eligible applicants.

Please note: WYN will provide a monthly invoice to each parent/guardian. Fees will apply for each day student is enrolled, even if she/he is absent. A written notice of permanent schedule changes may be submitted in advance to prevent accrual of fees. WYN will credit accounts as necessary when Watauga County Schools (WCS) do not operate due to inclement weather.
Transportation WYN can provide transportation home for students who would not otherwise be able to attend. Situations will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
